Formula and assumptions
Net volume = shape volume × (1 minus unfilled-volume percentage). Purchase volume = net volume × (1 + waste). Packages round up. Parts A and B split the purchase volume by the volume ratio entered.
Volume and weight mix ratios can differ. Use the volume ratio, density and safe pour depth on the product label.

Can I enter a resin mix ratio shown by weight?
Only if the same ratio is also specified by volume. Weight and volume ratios can differ because part densities can differ. Use the volume ratio printed by the manufacturer for this calculator.
Why is purchase volume higher than net pour volume?
Purchase volume includes the waste percentage you enter and rounds up to the package size you select. Net volume is the estimated amount that remains in the filled part of the shape.
Will this calculator choose a safe pour depth?
No. Thickness is an input, not a recommendation. Maximum layer depth, cure conditions and mixing instructions depend on the product, so follow its label and technical guidance.
